i'm very impressed, these are all very very beautiful pieces. did you use silk threads? and also, did you dye these yourself?

its cotton and linen mostly, and yes i dyed the blues in the warp

that sounds like a fun project, what kind of loom is she making? there are some really simple looms that can be make in a few hours

how did you learn to do this?
i am trying to go to school for fibers next fall and i am hoping to learn this kind of thing
i've never seen anyone's weavings though!

i think its because the technique and dye are very traditional (ikat and indigo)

Oh, Carson I don't know why it took me a long time to notice, and to add you as a friend. I'm so happy though, because I'm loving your work so much and it all reminds me of Texas somehow. I am taking the begining fibers class next semester and now seeing these has got me all pumped! I wish I could know you better actually, everything seems really big up there though.
